Welcome to Little Acorns Childcare, an OFSTED "outstanding" rated childcare provider in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Our main goal is to provide high quality childcare services for children aged 2 - 5 years.
With twenty years of experience, we are committed to excellence and delivering quality care. Each child has a Key Person to keep track of their wellbeing and development, and the relationship we build with you and your child is the key to a happy, fulfilling experience at Little Acorns. With our light and airy main room split into three areas, and two full-enclosed well-equipped gardens, we have plenty of activities to keep your little ones entertained and happy.
Little Acorns is open from 9am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, with the option of joining our breakfast club running 8-9am. Our nursery is home to an incredible team of ten dedicated staff members, each bringing a wealth of experience and a boundless passion for childcare. We believe in fostering a nurturing environment where every child can thrive, grow, and discover their unique potential. We extend a warm invitation for you to come and meet our team, explore our facilities, and see first hand the love and care we provide to the little acorns in our care.
Parents as Partners
We really value close partnerships with our parents; after all, you are the expert when it comes to your child! We spend a lot of time developing positive relationships with all of our parents, to help us share as much information as possible. Each child has a secure online Learning Journal, where we record your child’s progress, interests and achievements through photographs, videos and observations. Parents often tell us how much they value these insights into what their little ones get up to, and especially love photos of the child enjoying activities and witnessing first hand through the photographs and videos how much their child is enjoying their day. We love nothing more than when parents comment on what the children have been doing and upload their own photos and videos too. This enables us to share special times such as birthdays, Christmas or simply a walk to the park or feeding the ducks so we can build upon this in Nursery. We regularly share these photos and videos with the children too, to help them celebrate their achievements by looking at and talking about what they’ve done. Naturally we give feedback at the end of each session, and we encourage parents to share their children’s latest interests, special moments and any new information that will help us get to know and understand your child better. We have an open door policy, so you are always welcome to meet us and talk through any concerns or suggestions.
